AURORA, Colo. (Oct. 30, 2007) - Lilly Oncology on Canvas, an art exhibition honoring the journeys traveled by millions of people affected by women's cancer worldwide, will be on display at the University of Colorado Cancer Center at University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora. The exhibition will be open to the public Nov. 5 through Nov. 30, Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fifty pieces of art will be showcased in the lobby of the Anschutz Cancer Pavilion.

Lilly Oncology on Canvas began in 2004 as an international art competition for those whose lives have been touched by women's cancers, including those diagnosed with cancer, their families and friends, and health care providers. People were invited to use art as a means of expressing the struggles and successes in battling cancer. The exhibit now includes art created by men.

The original competition attracted more than 400 submissions from 23 countries. To date, it has traveled to hundreds of cities around the world.

The Anschutz Cancer Pavilion is located at 1665 N. Ursula St. in Aurora, Colo. Admission is free. Call (720) 848-0395 for more information.
