UCDHSC and Auraria Campus to Demonstrate New Emergency Mass Notification System
WHAT:The safety of students, faculty and staff is of the utmost importance at the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center. To further strengthen campus emergency preparedness, all UCDHSC locations including the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colo., and the downtown Denver campus will be expanding their emergency notification capabilities using 3n's InstaCom Campus Alert System on Nov. 1.
The system, which Virginia Tech began using after the recent tragic student shootings, allows for a variety of notification methods including phone, e-mail, text messages, instant messaging, pager, fax and BlackBerry devices.
3n debuts at UCDHSC Nov. 1 but demo sessions can be attended on Friday, Oct. 19, at either the downtown campus or at the Anschutz Medical Campus. These will serve to create awareness for students to sign up for the service on Nov. 1.

PARKING: Auraria Campus (Denver): Please park in the Tivoli pay lot (orange on the map) just northwest of the Tivoli.

From Montview Blvd., turn south on Uvalda Ct. The lot will be on your left.
Anschutz Medical Campus (Aurora): Please park in the University of Colorado Hospital pay parking garage located across from the Academic Office West Building on E. 17th Ave. Please enter the campus via Quentin Street and turn right onto E. 17th Place. Turn right onto Racine Street and then left onto E. 17th Ave. The parking garage will be on the left just past the Leprino building.
