UCDHSC Selects Emergency Mass Notification System
To further strengthen campus emergency preparedness for the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center, we will be implementing a mass notification system. 3n is the vendor selected to provide mass notification services for all UCDHSC locations as well as the entities at the Auraria Higher Education Center.
When operational, the 3n mass notification system will enable emergency communication with UCDHSC students, staff and faculty at 9th Avenue and Colorado Blvd. campus, Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora and the downtown Denver campus. The system allows for various notification methods, including phone, e-mail, text messaging, instant messaging, pager, fax and BlackBerry devices. The 3n mass notification system will greatly expand our capability for delivering crisis notifications.
The system will debut Nov. 1 when students, faculty and staff will be able to sign up for several 3n-enabled emergency notification options. When the system is ready to allow sign ups, you will be notified via e-mail.
Currently, UCDHSC has several communications tools to reach students, faculty and staff, including broadcast e-mail alerts, some broadcast voice-mail messages to campus telephone extensions, a coordinated use of public media outlets, and 24-hour recorded Emergency & Information Hotlines (Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora 303-724-4636; Downtown Denver Auraria Campus 303-556-2401).
