Area of Research:
As a clinic specialist for the Look AHEAD study Ms. Thompson is responsible for
conducting lab tests including drawing blood, taking physical measurements,
EKGs and ABIs. As an outcome specialist she collects outcomes data on a
regular basis to determine the impact of the study.
Educational/Professional Background:
Ms. Thompson graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas
at Austin. She is a certified phlebotomist and clinical research coordinator.
She has been involved in multiple research and clinical studies with
the Center for Human Nutrition for the past five years.
