Area of Research:
Ms. Miller is study coordinator and therefore responsible for direction of the Look AHEAD Research Study at UCD. Look AHEAD is a long term weight loss study for people with type 2 diabetes, 45 - 75 years of age, who are overweight or obese. Look AHEAD is a national study, being conducted at 20 sites in the U.S. and is funded by the National Institutes of Health, National Diabetes, Digestive and Kidney Disease
Educational/Professional Background:
Ms. Miller is a Registered Dietician with a background in Nutrition and Medical Dietetics. Before joining Look AHEAD she worked for 5 years on the Diabetes Prevention Program with UCD. Marsha received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Nebraska and a Masters of Science from St. Louis University.
