Ms. Phillipp is the director of Clinical Trials for the Center for Human Nutrition.

Educational/Professional Background:
Joann graduated with a Master's degree in Community Health from the University of Utah.  She has worked in various areas of health since her graduation.  These include community fitness and wellness programs and working at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in the areas of cardiovascular health, diabetes, and arthritis.  She came to the Center for Human Nutrition in October of 2000 to coordinate the Look AHEAD study, a long-term weight loss study for people with type 2 diabetes that is funded by NIH.  In 2004, she took over the position of Director for Clinical Trials.
