Program information:
Carrie's primary focus is coordinating the details of Drs. James Hill and Holly Wyatt's R01 grant funded by the NIH. The grant entitled Long-Term Efficacy and Safety of Low Carbohydrate Diets, hopes to learn more about the effects of low carbohydrate diets on weight, body composition, metabolic and organ function, and exercise endurance. In addition, she conducts Dr. Holly Wyatt's other research interests including a doubly labeled water study and working with reduced-obese subjects in the National Weight Control Registry.

Educational/Professional Background:
Carrie is a professional research assistant at the Center for Human Nutrition. She joined the staff at the center in July of 2000. Previously, she worked at the University of Utah's, Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic. There she studied genetic linkages to early coronary heart disease.
