How to Make a Donation

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is committed to it’s mission to be a regional center of medical education, to generate and disseminate new knowledge in both clinical and basic science areas and to deliver high quality patient care. 

To achieve a level of excellence, and attain the goals we have set, private funding is needed. Your support will strengthen the future of the department and guarantee it’s continued success.  Your gift can be in the form of cash, securities or a bequest, and can be designated to an area you desire. 

We are currently seeking funds for the Edgar L. Makowski M.D. Endowed Chair in Obstetrics. This endowment, when fully funded will support research and education in perinatalogy, and improve the quality of care given to the woman and infants of Colorado.  An Endowed Chair is a valuable asset to a department because it brings nationally recognized experts in the field to the University of Colorado, and attracts gifted and talented individuals to the study of Obstetrics in addition to supporting our mission.

We are also working to endow a  Professorship in honor of John C. Hobbins, M.D.  This endowed professorship will be used to fund a portion of a faculty position and to increase our understanding of maternal-fetal medicine. 

In addition, we are also working to raise funds for the Florence C. Cobb Professorship in Obstetrics and Gynecology.   This endowment will provide support for an endowed faculty position in the Department.
