All UCD or UCD-affiliated faculty who work with externally sponsored research at UCDHSC.

What Is Covered In This Course?

• Development of proposals for external funding (i. e. drafting of budgets, proposal design, proposal routing and submission)
• Award negotiation and set-up
• Administration of awards (i.e. procurement of goods and services, subcontracting, charging to PeopleSoft, reporting, closeout and audit)

The course is presented as an on-line course that is self-paced using Blackboard (Blackboard software requirements).

Time Commitment
Test groups indicate that it takes 1-2 hours for course completion depending on previous work experience in the field of Research Administration.
