The optical system of the eye
consists of the cornea and the lens. These act in concert to
focus light rays on the retina, which acts much like the film
in a camera to transmit images to the brain. |
|
All vision correction procedures
act by either changing the shape of the cornea or by replacing
or enhancing the internal lens of the eye. Laser vision correction
procedures alter the shape of the cornea. |
