Mission

CU Orthopaedics' mission is to:

  • Promote comprehensive orthopaedic education.
  • Develop leading musculoskeletal research.
  • Deliver high quality clinical care that is in the best interest of all patients.

Vision

CU Orthopaedics' vision statement serves to support how the mission will be achieved. The new vision for the department is as follows:

  • The CU Orthopaedic Surgery, with a primary focus on education and research, will become the authoritative source of knowledge on musculoskeletal care for the Rocky Mountain region.
  • The department will establish and deliver the highest quality orthopaedic care to all patients.

Values

CU Orthopaedics' values indicate how the department will function to achieve its mission. The values for the department include the following:

  • The CU Orthopaedic Surgery will be efficient, fiscally responsible, and composed of diverse faculty members.
  • The faculty will be professionals that provide leadership through committee and collaboration with community physicians, the public, patients, and others in the development of educational programs, research initiatives, and advocacy for the best quality orthopaedic patient care.
