The self-assessment exercises and case studies presented in these web pages serve as supplementary instructional material for the UCD-School of Medicine Pathology Residency Training Program in Clinical Microbiology. Exercises and challenge questions for each resident to solve will be posted here at the beginning of each week; the answers to the questions and exercises with expanded didactic information will be posted on the following Thursdays. The on-going weekly program will cover in the course of one year the essential "need to know" information within each of the four microbiology disciplines--Bacteriology, Mycology, Parasitology, and Virology.
