Dr. Jared Schwartz,  President of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), visits the University of Colorado Department of Pathology!

On July 29th, 2009 the University of Colorado's Department of Pathology was honored by a visit from the current President of the College of American Pathologists (CAP), Jared Schwartz, MD, PhD, FCAP.  He spent the day touring our new campus, The Children's Hospital and The University of Colorado Hospital as well as our research facilities. His presentation, “Putting the ‘P’ Back in Pathology was filled with humor and useful anecdotes, opinions and information about the future of pathology.

Our department Chair, Dr. Ann D. Thor, had the following to say about the visit, "As the preeminent society of pathology professionals, CAP plays a major role in our professional lives. This event represented a first for the department and was remarkably well received!"
