Notice the fribro-purulent aspect of the visceral peritoneum at the right side of the specimen. The mesenteric fat shows edema and peritonitis. The arrows point at areas of discoloration in the cortex corresponding to acute and chronic rejection. Notice well circumscribed lesion with necrosis and central cavity formation. Notice patchy areas of necrosis and fibrosis in the pancreatic parenchyma and chalky, yellowish-white apperance of fat necrosis below. After opening the specimen, the cavity is filled with multiple irregular, greenish-yellow stones. The mucosa shows yellow streaks of choleresterolosis. The bile content has been washed off. Notice the marked thickening of the gallbladder wall.
