Monica Jones Federico, MD
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Associate Director, Asthma Program


Monica Jones Federico, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas in 1997. Her Pediatric Residency at Harvard University was finished in 2000, and she completed a Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine in 2004. Dr. Federico joined the faculty of the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital in 2004.

Dr. Federico is a member of many professional societies. In 2002, she was awarded the Outstanding Student in the Clinical Science Certificate Program. She is published in several journals and medical textbooks.

Dr. Federico is developing an outpatient asthma program to complement the inpatient asthma pathway at The Children's Hospital. She is working on several clinical studies involving outcomes research in asthma. Dr. Federico is also involved in the care of Spanish-speaking children with pulmonary disease, including asthma and cystic fibrosis.

Dr. Federico is board certified in Pediatrics and in Pediatric Pulmonology.
