Eva N. Grayck, MD
Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Director, Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program
Eva N. Grayck, MD, earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine in 1988. She completed pediatric residency training in 1991 and fellowship training in pediatric critical care medicine in 1995, both at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Grayck then held a faculty appointment at Duke University Medical Center for nine years. From 1996 to 2004 she also directed the Duke Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship Program.
Dr. Grayck joined the faculty of The Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics Section of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine in 2004. She was appointed Director of the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in 2006.
Dr. Grayck has a particular clinical interest in the care of critically ill infants and children with acute lung injury, septic shock, or multisystem organ dysfunction. Her research focuses on new mechanisms by which reactive oxygen and nitrogen species regulate pulmonary vascular function in developing and mature lungs. She is currently funded by the Heart Lung and Blood Institute of the
National Institutes of Health and the March of Dimes to study the role of oxidants and antioxidants in the pathogenesis of neonatal pulmonary vascular disease.
Dr. Grayck is an invited reviewer for many medical journals. She is widely published and presents at regional and national conferences.
Dr. Grayck is board certified in Pediatrics and subspecialty certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
