Karolyn Kabir, MD
Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Karolyn Kabir, MD, earned her medical degree in 1994 from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency training and her fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, in 1999 and 2007, respectively. Dr. Kabir joined the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital in 2000 and was appointed Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in 2007.
Dr. Kabir’s research interests are focused on the identification and treatment of antenatal and postpartum depression in teen mothers. Her clinical responsibilities include caring for young mothers and their children at The Children’s Hospital Young Mothers Clinic. She also precepts pediatric residents in the Adolescent Medicine Clinic.
Dr. Kabir has published several articles in the medical literature. She is a member of the Society of Adolescent Medicine and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and she is active as a Board Member of the Lowry Community Advisory Committee. Dr. Kabir was honored with two teaching awards during her residency training at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Dr. Kabir is board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible in Adolescent Medicine.
