Robert E. Kramer, MD, earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, in 1995. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Miami Children’s Hospital in 1998. He then completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at The Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colorado, in 2001. He directed the Pediatric Obesity Program at the University of Miami from 2001 until he joined the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital in 2006. He is Director of Endoscopy and the Gastroenterology Procedure Unit within the Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition, and Medical Director of the GoodLife2 Adolescent Obesity Clinic.
Dr. Kramer’s research focus is in pediatric obesity, as well as eosinophillic esophagitis (EE), a chronic inflammatory disorder of the esophagus which is being recognized with increasing frequency in children. He has received several grants in support of his research.
Dr. Kramer was recently selected as one of the Best Doctors in America for the third consecutive year. He is widely published in the medical literature and a popular speaker nationwide.
Dr. Kramer is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology.
