Paul G. Moe, MD
Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology
Paul G. Moe, MD, received his medical degree in 1956 from the University of Minnesota. He completed his Pediatric Residency at Children’s Hospital East Bay in 1959 and his Neurology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota in1965. He served as a Visiting Professor of Pediatrics while in the Peace Corps in Iran for two years before joining the faculty of the Departments of Pediatrics and Neurology at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital in 1967.
Dr. Moe has been widely recognized for his teaching skills, having been awarded both the Gary Way Award for Outstanding Teaching, Department of Pediatrics, 1997-1998, and the Career Teaching Scholar award, Department of Pediatrics, 2000. Dr. Moe is a member of many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, Child Neurology Society, American EEG Society, Western EEG Society, and Denver Neurology Society.
Dr. Moe has explored and published on clinical child neurology, including spike wave stupor, infantile polymyoclonia-opsoclonus syndrome, and encephalitis. He is widely published in books and peer-reviewed journals. His academic interests include clinical electroencephalography, neurometabolic disorders, evoked potentials (clinical neurophysiology), and teaching residents.
Dr. Moe is board certified in Pediatrics, Child Neurology, and Clinical Neurophysiology.
