Adam A. Rosenberg, MD

Adam A. Rosenberg, MD, earned his medical degree from Vanderbilt University in 1976. He completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1979. After finishing a Fellowship in Perinatal Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1981, Dr. Rosenberg returned to Colorado to join the faculty of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado School of Medicine and The Children’s Hospital in 1984.
Dr. Rosenberg has served as Medical Director of the Nursery at Boulder Community Hospital since 2001. He was Medical Director of the Level I/II Nurseries at University Hospital from 1986 until 2008 and Medical Director of the NICU at University Hospital from 1989 to 2008. He was appointed Professor of Pediatrics in 1997 and Director of the Pediatric Residency Program in 2003.
Dr. Rosenberg’s scientific interests include regulation of cerebral blood flow in the fetus and neonate; surfactant replacement therapy; pathogenesis of persistent pulmonary hypertension of the newborn; clinical management of birth asphyxia; and outcome of high-risk newborn term and preterm infants. He is the recipient of numerous grant awards for his research.
Dr. Rosenberg is widely published in the medical literature and is a peer reviewer for numerous journals. He is a popular speaker nationally and internationally. Dr. Rosenberg is also active in many national and institutional committees, including the American Heart Association’s Brain Subcommittee for the Review of Grant Applications.
Dr. Rosenberg received the Gary Way Award for Outstanding Teaching from the Department of Pediatrics and was recently listed in 5280 Magazine’s "Top Doctors in Denver."
Dr. Rosenberg is board certified in Pediatrics and in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
