Welcome to the Clinical Trials Organization
The Clinical Trials Organization (CTO) was created at The Children's Hospital in 1997 to ensure performance of high-quality clinical research in children. This is accomplished by facilitating participation in clinical research, including investigator-initiated studies, industry-sponsored studies and foundation- and government-sponsored investigations. The CTO offers a full menu of services, including assistance with study design; submissions for institutional approval (institutional review boards and clinical research centers); budget development, contract negotiation and grants management; study site and patient recruitment; and study nursing and study monitoring. In addition, the CTO serves as a liaison between clinical investigators and other institutional resources, e.g., biostatistics, laboratories, radiology and pharmacy.
