Research
Research in the Section of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology is conducted at The Children's Hospital (TCH) and at National Jewish Medical and Research Center (National Jewish). Dr. Hollister's research in rheumatology at TCH is focused on steroid-induced osteoporosis, the susceptibility of lupus patients to Zoster infection and the participation of children with arthritis in physical education classes. Dr. Soep has been conducting research on the influenza vaccination in pediatric patients to assess the safety and immunogenicity of the influenza vaccination in children and adolescents with rheumatic diseases.
The faculty at National Jewish have numerous research interests with major programs in the regulation of allergic responses, asthma, inflammation, inflammatory cell function, signal transduction, apoptosis and compliance issues.
