Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
Clinical Services
The Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is the primary academic home for the faculty of JFK Partners--Promoting Families, Health and Development. This program encompasses Colorado's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research and Service (UCEDDRS) and Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND). For a complete description of JFK Partners' programs, visit their website at www.jfkpartners.org.
JFK Partners' clinical service program includes clinic- and home-based interdisciplinary and disciplinary evaluation, assessment and treatment services.
The Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Section offers disciplinary and interdisciplinary initial, differential and follow-up diagnostic services for children and youth presenting with developmental and behavioral concerns at two clinical sites: the Child
Development Unit at The Children's Hospital campus and the Autism and Developmental Disabilities Service at the University of Colorado Denver Colorado Boulevard campus. At the Colorado Boulevard campus, individual and group treatment and behavioral and allied health services are provided for both children and adults. Together these clinic sites serve a total of about 400 individuals per year.
ENRICH (Enrichment Using Resources in the Community and Home) is a transdisciplinary early intervention (Part C) service delivered through home and child care visits. Approximately 120 Part C-eligible children and families are served annually in this program.
The Center
for Family and Infant Interaction housed at The Children's Hospital provides services through a program of individualized, developmentally supportive intervention to hospitalized preterm and high-risk infants who are at risk for adverse neurodevelopmental outcomes.
