Welcome to Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics
The Section of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and the Child
Development Unit (CDU) at The Children’s Hospital are comprised of four developmental and behavioral pediatricians, a pediatric nurse practitioner, six licensed clinical psychologists, a genetics counselor, and our Autism Treatment Network clinic coordinator.
Key features of the CDU include:
- state-of-the-art interdisciplinary evaluations for children experiencing developmental and neurodevelopmental differences
- innovative research in the areas of Autism Spectrum Disorders, Sex Chromosome Aneuploidy, and Fragile X syndrome
- training of health care professionals to diagnose and manage children with developmental and behavioral differences
- compassionate, integrated care for our patients and their families to promote development and ensure that our patients reach their maximum potential
