The full-time pediatric emergency medicine faculty members are all board certified in pediatric emergency medicine or emergency medicine with particular pediatric expertise and provide care for a wide array of medical, surgical and traumatic conditions.

The faculty is also involved in The Children's Hospital community-based Urgent/Emergent Care Network, providing medical direction and clinical coverage in several of the community sites. The faculty is responsible for the direction of Centura/Flight For Life pediatric transports and provides 24 hours a day, seven days a week phone consultation to primary care providers and emergency departments throughout the region.

Faculty are members of the Colorado State Trauma and Emergency Medicine Advisory Council and the Mile High Regional Trauma and Advisory Council. They are also actively involved in the program development and education of prehospital care providers. They provide The Children's Hospital house-wide Mock Cor program and administrate The Children's Hospital Pediatric Advanced Life Support program. They are actively involved in regional injury prevention and child advocacy, including the medical direction of the Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Institute.
