Endocrinology
Clinical Services

The Henry Silver, MD, PhD, Pediatric Endocrine and Growth Center at The Children’s Hospital (TCH) provides comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for children with disorders of growth, puberty, thyroid function, adrenal function, calcium and phosphorus metabolism (including rickets), osteoporosis, and many other endocrine-related disorders. More than 4,800 visits to the Center are made by children from an eight-state surrounding area each year.

In recent years, outreach clinics have been established in eight cities, serving the needs of children in Colorado, Wyoming, and Montana.

Collaborative clinical programs with other subspecialty departments at TCH are in place to provide endocrine support for children who have had bone marrow transplantation, brain tumors, AIDS, cystic fibrosis, asthma, and a variety of metabolic and genetic disorders, including glycogen storage disease, hypoglycemia, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, chronic renal disease, and obesity-related disorders.
