Pediatric Clinical Services at National Jewish Medical and Research Center
Pediatric clinical services at National Jewish Medical and Research Center (National Jewish) have been structured to provide a continuum of care from outpatient to inpatient services. This has resulted in increased cost-effectiveness of health service delivery. The challenges increase as access decreases, while disease severity continues to increase.
A major focus has been the integration of care in the areas of allergy, asthma, immunology and rheumatology at National Jewish and The Children's Hospital (TCH). National Jewish faculty members have weekly clinics in allergy, asthma and sinusitis at TCH; and the integration of the rheumatology and pulmonary programs has been completed. These programs optimize clinical care and enhance teaching programs for patients and housestaff. National Jewish faculty also staff clinics at Denver Health Medical Center, as well as a number of satellite clinics.
