Biostatistical Core
The Pediatric CTRC employs two PhD-level biostatisticians to provide the following
services to any researchers who are submitting or who have submitted
research protocols, including:
- Guidance on study design (e.g., hypothesis definition, prospective
versus retrospective, randomization issues, choice of controls, choosing
the appropriate outcome measure, etc.)
- Sample size and power calculations
- Description of analytical methods and appropriate statistical tests
- Data analysis of the completed study
- Assistance with writing the manuscript for publication
