Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC)

The Pediatric CTRC Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) consists of faculty members from the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing who are appointed by the Principal Investigator, as well as CTRC Staff members who are ex-officio members of the Committee. The Committee reviews each new research protocol for scientific merit and appropriateness for use of CTRC resources, and designates the category of inpatient research days. The SAC periodically reviews the operation of the CTRC to ensure Center resources are used for the most scientifically worthy projects.
