Research Interests
Manish Dalwani's research interests are to design, implement, and maintain: systems and equipment for image acquisition and processing, systems for analysis and display of structural and functional MRI brain images, standards and processes for effective implementation and maintenance of the fMRI analysis architecture, hardware/software implementation pf psychological tasks in fMRI, image coregistration, advanced signal and image processing for data analysis, cross-referencing anatomical and functional data, and advanced statistical analyses relevant to neuroscience (such as general linear models). More specifically to understand the complex neural functioning of patient population diagnosed with conduct disorder and substance dependence. These patients lack empathy, altruism and are highly risk taking. I am interested in building tools/tasks to measure “risk-taking” and “altruism” in such patients using advanced functional MRI analyses techniques.
