Educational Activities

Medical Students:
Mentor, Psychiatry Scholars Program, Division Faculty serve as mentors to medical students wishing to fulfill their independent learning requirement.

Psychiatric Residents:
A series of lectures on neuropsychology is presented to the psychiatric residents; typically one lecture concerns the neuropsychology of substance use disorders. A brief series of lectures on neuropsychology are presented to neurology residents and medical students doing neurology rotations annually.

Supervise and advise psychology interns
Teach a course on neuropsychology to interns at UCD, and present on similar issues to interns at Denver VA Hospital.

Opportunities for Research Participation of Medical Students and Residents
Medical Students: In the Division’s research elective, Psychiatry 8610, or Psychiatry Scholars Program, students will work on projects currently pursued by Division faculty, or in associated labs on the CU-Boulder campus.

Education for Citizens of the Community and State
Periodic presentations to regional mental health providers, physician health care and education organizations, other psychology groups.

Information Exchange with Other Scientists and Clinicians:
Attend and give scientific presentations at national conferences such
as College on Problems of Drug Dependence, International
Neuropsychology Society, National Academy of Neuropsychology.
