About the Program—International Affiliations
International experiences can enhance overall understanding of cultural, socio-economic, and political influences on health care delivery, including the delivery of physical therapy care. Currently, the Program offers a service learning elective in Nicaragua, during year 3 of the Program.
Yamagata Prefectural University of Health Sciences
We are grateful that the Physical Therapy Department
at Yamagata Prefectural University of Health Sciences in
Japan, has developed a sister school relationship with the University of Colorado Denver Physical Therapy Program. In September 2009, we hosted the 9th Annual USA / Japan Research Congress at the Anschutz Medical Campus.
