About the Program—International Affiliations
International clinical experiences can enhance overall understanding of cultural, socio-economic, and political influences on health care delivery, including the delivery of physical therapy care. Currently, the Program has two established international affiliations that are offered on a regular basis in Nicaragua and in Australia.
Yamagata Prefectural University of Health Sciences
We are grateful that the Physical Therapy Department at Yamagata Prefectural University of Health Sciences in Yamagata, Japan has developed a sister school relationship with the University of Colorado Denver Physical Therapy Program. In September 2006, we hosted the 7th USA / Japan Research Congress at the Anschutz Medical Campus, and look forward the the upcoming 8th Congress in Fall, 2008.
