Dr. Duval focuses her research on mechanisms of pituitary-specific
gene expression. Specifically, she is studying the interactions
of the Ets and Pit-1 transcription factors that mediate both
basal expression and Ras stimulation of the prolactin promoter.
She is using biochemical and molecular biology techniques
to dissect the complex protein hierarchy that confers synergistic
transcriptional activation by these factors and targets the
Ras signaling pathway to the prolactin gene promoter.
