The office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is responsible for the regulatory oversight of
all biomedical research at UC Denver. A priority within this leadership role is to ensure campus
compliance with all federal and state guidelines that govern the conduct of research.
This requires extensive and collaborative coordination with the Deans’ offices of the Schools
of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and Graduate Studies, the faculty leadership of
each school, and other campus Vice Chancellors.
The Vice Chancellor for Research also is the
principal advocate for research in the office of the Chancellor
and represents faculty interests related to the provision
of services and resources to promote the highest quality
research. This role includes advocacy at local, regional
and national levels in support of the scientific accomplishments of
our faculty.
