Obtaining the Death Certificate

The Anatomical Board does not provide copies of death certificates. Certified copies of Death Certificates are available upon request from the county where the death occurred. Please allow 15 working days for the certificate to be completed and reach the appropriate county facility (usually the Bureau of Vital Statistics). After 30 days, copies may also be obtained from the Colorado State Department of Public Health, 4300 S. Cherry Creek Drive, Denver, Colorado 80222.
