Your First Step in Moving or Closing a Laboratory:
You will of course need to contact the Environmental Health & Safety Department by phone or in person so that we may best assist you with your moving or closing process. BEFORE YOU DO, however, please read our guide for moving laboratories at this link:
EH&S Guide for Moving Laboratories (revised November 2007)
It will answer many of your questions, and will give you ideas for additional questions you might want to ask our EH&S move representatives!
After you have read the EH&S Guide for Moving Laboratories,
call our move representative, Carissa Gipe at X40127, or e-mail her at Carissa.Gipe@uchsc.edu.
If your laboratory contained radioactive materials, you will ALSO need to contact our Radiation Safety move representative:
Chastiti Etherton X55895 - Chastiti.Etherton@uchsc.edu.
