INTRODUCTION

The Foundations of Doctoring Curriculum (FDC) is a three-year curriculum required of all students admitted to the University of Colorado School of Medicine.  Our goal is to assist you in developing the basic skills necessary to be an excellent physician in whichever field you ultimately choose.

The FDC is composed of the following activities:

·        Continuity clinic with a physician preceptor

·        Physical examination curriculum

·        Communications and interviewing curriculum

·        Longitudinal evaluations called Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCE) and Clinical Practice Examinations (CPE) using standardized patients
