Clinical Trials Units Selected for Newly Restructured
HIV/AIDSResearch Networks

On Monday March 12th, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) announced that the Colorado AIDS Clinical Trials Unit has been selected to be part of the new NIAID HIV/AIDS Research Networks. The Colorado ACTU is one of only 60 clinical trials units around the world, and one of only two units between the Mississippi River and the west coast, selected to be part of this network. More information on this announcement can be found at the websites mentioned in the NIH press release that follows below. The award from the NIAID will provide $7,620,295 to UCDHSC over the next 7 years to conduct clinical research studies of the treatment of HIV infection and its complications in Colorado. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
