The Visible Human Male Videodisc

The Visible Human Male Laserdisc contains all of the anatomical and radiological images from the male specimen. The disc includes over 1000 transverse and coronal MR images; 1878 serial, transverse, 1mm CT scans of the specimen in the frozen state; and color photographs of cryosections taken congruent to each CT scan. CT scans of the fresh specimen at 1, 3, and 5mm spacing in the head, trunk, thighs and feet, respectively, are included. Images from the frozen cadaver knees and legs are included in this series for completeness. Fourteen radiographs complete the image database. The Laserdisc also contains reconstructed images of coronal and sagittal cross sections that are not part of the Visible Human Dataset, but were derived from it. The color images are derived from the 1760x1024 pixel digital photographs of the Visible Human image database.

The Visible Human Image CD-ROM Set

These CD-ROMs contain all the images from both the male and female specimens in 24-bit color and are available in various formats, i.e., RGB, TIFF, and Photoshop.
