LAY SUMMARY OF RESEARCH OBJECTIVES:
We have preclinical models for lung cancer to study various growth factors on the growth of human lung cancers. We are synthesizing and evaluating the effects of monoclonal antibodies, peptide antagonists and other agents on the growth of lung cancer cells. We are evaluating the utility of a variety of small molecules, which inhibit signal transduction for the prevention, and treatment of lung cancers. We are evaluating the ability of several agents to overcome drug resistance in lung cancer.
