- Former Research Activities:
- Immunologic tolerance, T cell-B cell interactions (first demonstration), Mechanisms of corticosteroid action, contact sensitivity and its control, suppressor T cells, natural suppressor cells, graft vs. host disease, mast cells and fibrosis, pathogenesis of scleroderma, immunology of human pregnancy

- Dr. Claman is Director of the Medical Humanities program at UCD. The Program integrates the arts, literature, reflective writing, etc into the medical education curriculum. The Program has been awarded a grant from the Price Foundation which should allow us to recruit a credentialed medical humanist to carry the Program forward.
