Department of Medicine at the University of
Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center
Education
Our excellent housestaff training program provides residents with a diversity of experiences, flexibility to tailor training to educational and career goals, an involved and committed faculty, and, most important, an outstanding group of residents. We are currently making changes to this program that meet residency work hour requirements, addresses ACGME competencies, expands our training program to include primary care, categorical and hospitalist tracks, and provides the best possible education and mentoring/career counseling for our residents. The Department of Medicine is also committed to medical student education and has a student affairs office within the department that serves our medical students.
