Bio
Dr. Borges came to the University of Colorado Health Science Center in 2003.  She is a clinical-translational scientist in breast oncology with research focusing on breast cancer immunotherapy and young women’s breast cancer.

Research
Dr. Borges is focused on clinical breast cancer research including clinical trials with anti-endocrine therapies, novel biologic drug and immunotherapies. The breast research program participates in SWOG, NSABP, RTOG and intergroup studies, of which she is an active member.  The Borges Lab is focused on the development of novel vaccines and combination immunotherapy for breast cancer and also, though collaborative programs, on potential biologic differences and therapeutic targets for young womens’ breast cancer.  Dr. Borges is the educational coordinator for the Division of Medical Oncology, an Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency and Director of the Internal Medicine Resident Research Program.
