Bio
Dr Lee started with the University of Colorado in 2006. His areas of clinical interests and expertise are plasma cell dyscrasia, including multiple myeloma and amyloidosis. Non-myeloablative allogeneic stem cell transplantation and management of graft versus host disease by T lymphocyte manipulation, following allogeneic stem cell transplantation, are other interests.
Research
His research interests include epigenetic modulation on multiple myeloma to reverse resistance to DNA damaging agents. The first phase of the study focuses on laboratory investigations on myeloma cell lines, in collaboration with the Department of Pathology. Clinical investigations based on the laboratory findings will focus on development of innovative therapy for high-dose therapy with transplantation and for apoptotic management. Dr Lee is also developing a new strategy for treating patients with amyloidosis who may not be transplant candidates.
