Bio Dr Myint has been with the University of Colorado since 2005. His areas of clinical interests and expertise are all aspects of bone marrow transplantation, including allogeneic sibling or unrelated donor or cord blood and autologous transplants, all aspects of hematological malignancies, in particular, acute leukemia, chronic leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. He has a strong interest in teaching and postgraduate medical education. He has developed a web-based series of CME modules in the Hematologic cancers, under a grant from CDC, most of which have been available on-line since March 1, 2006.
Research
His research interests include tumor immunology, normal and leukemic stem cell biology, and developing autologous tumor vaccines for blood cancers that can be used to protect against recurrence. He aims to intensify relationships among researchers and clinicians at the University of Colorado Cancer Center to expand translational research from “bench to clinic” in blood and marrow transplantation.
