OVERVIEW

 

This program is presented by the CU School of Medicine offering CME accreditation* in providing an opportunity for physicians in the Rocky Mountain Region to learn more about cutting edge treatment and monitoring of patients with thyroid neoplasms. This event will highlight clinical and basic research providing an advanced level of training, along with offering interactive sessions with the participants and the presenters.

 

 

OBJECTIVES 

  • Describe current standard of care approaches for patients with thyroid neoplasms 
  • Determine when to use radioiodine as adjuvant therapy for specific patients  
  • Interpret serum thyroglobulin levels in patients with thyroid cancer based on disease state and TSH stimulation  
  • Summarize the current state of the art approaches to patients with advanced thyroid cancer (clinical trials, systemic therapy, etc)

 

TARGET AUDIENCE  

 

This program is targeted to physicians in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Medicine/Radiology, Surgery and Endocrinology that participate in the care of patients with Thyroid Cancer.
