Continuity Clinic
We are proud of the diversity of options available to residents for outpatient clinical training. All faculty preceptors at each training site are members of the UCHSC Division of General Internal Medicine and are experts in outpatient medicine. Continuity with patients and preceptors is highly valued. All residents are assigned to a continuity clinic in the first month of residency and develop their own group of primary care patients to follow during their three years of training. Categorical residents attend one half-day per week and may elect to spend a second half-day during elective rotations in their last two years of training. Primary Care residents attend one half-day per week during call months and two half-days during electives. Preliminary interns have the option of attending clinic one half-day per week.
