The UCD Health Sciences Library offers access to more than 22,000 full-text journals and books plus a variety of electronic information systems and databases. These electronic resources include Ovid or PubMed MEDLINE, ACP PIER, Clinical Evidence from BMJ, The Cochrane Library, FirstConsult/ MDConsult, InfoRetriever/ InfoPOEMS, Micromedex, Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database, STAT!Ref, and UpToDate. With the exeption of UpToDate, the Library’s catalog, online journals, books, and other online resources may be accessed via the Internet from home. UpToDate is available only on-campus. The Library staff is happy to provide assistance with research in person, via phone, email, IM chat, in-depth personalized consultations, classes, and an online search service. Librarians present didactics twice per month at OMBT morning report at the VA to improve residents’ literature searching skills.  More information about the Library can be obtained at their website, http://hsclibrary.uchsc.edu/.
