The UCDHSC Health Sciences Library

The UCDHSC Health Sciences Library offers access to more than 22,000 full-text journals and books plus a variety of electronic clinical information systems and databases. These electronic resources include Ovid or PubMed MEDLINE, ACP PIER, Clinical Evidence from BMJ, The Cochrane Library, FirstConsult/ MDConsult, InfoRetriever/ InfoPOEMS, Micromedex, Natural Medicines Comprehensive Database, STAT!Ref, and UpToDate. The Library’s catalog, online journals, books, and other online resources with the exception of UpToDate may be accessed via the Internet from home. UpToDate is available only on-campus. The Library staff provides assistance with research in person, via phone, email, IM chat, in-depth personalized consultations, classes, and an online search service. A rotation in Informatics led by librarians and expert guest lecturers is available to Internal Medicine Residents in their 2nd or 3rd year. A new Health Sciences Library will open in Fall 2007.
