Application Procedures

Applicants for all internship positions must be doctoral candidates enrolled in a Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology doctoral program (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) accredited by the American Psychological Association. We expect to offer 6 specialty track internship positions as described above.

Completed predoctoral internship applications must be received by November 18, 2006. In December, all applications are reviewed and final candidates will be selected. These finalists will be invited to schedule interviews with psychology faculty, either in person or by telephone, during January, 2007. If you mail us a self-addressed, stamped postcard, we will inform you when your application is complete. Notification of award and acceptance by the appointee will be made in accordance with the Association of Psychology and Postdoctoral Internship Centers (APPIC) guidelines.

A completed application consists of: (1) the AAPI 2006 completed by the candidate, available from the APPIC web site (www.appic.org); (2) the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center Division of Psychology Supplemental Application Form; (3) curriculum vitae; (4) official graduate school transcript(s); (5) the "Academic Program’s Verification of Internship Eligibility and Readiness" form from the AAPI 2006 sent directly to us at the address below with your training director’s signature across the seal of the envelope; and (6) three letters of recommendation.

It is the candidate’s responsibility to see that all application materials are received by November 18, 2006.
