Marianne Wamboldt, M.D. (303) 861-6096
Chair of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
The Children’s Hospital – Pavilion, Room 2F-01
Wamboltm@njc.orgDr. Wamboldt is interested in the reciprocal effects of interpersonal interactions, personality traits, and psychological states with chronic illness, in particular, atopic disorders. She is familiar with behavioral genetic methodology and has analyzed several large twin samples to establish that the covariance of atopic disorders with anxiety and depression is primarily accounted for by shared genetics. She is currently trying to understand the specific biologic systems that may mediate this association, including the stress response, symptom perception, and adherence behavior.
